My husband and I have been together for 7 years and married for almost 4. Needless to say, we've established somewhat of a routine in the weekday rush to work - I'm running around trying to put on my make up and brush my teeth, he's in his office tapping away at emails and preparing for customer appointments, and Kona is desperately scurrying her little paws around the house trying to convince both of us to play ball with her at 6:30 AM instead of get ready for work.
My favorite part about this morning, besides cuddling Kona and promising her that we'll be home before she knows it, was looking in the rear view mirror of my car on the road and seeing that my husband had caught up to me at the stoplight. Why? Because even in the traffic, I see his hand wave to me the sign language symbol for "I love you". It's this thing we used to do when we were at a distance and couldn't say it with words. And it reminds me that I wouldn't trade our life together for anything.
Happy Tuesday!
