Challenge and change are good thing. I can't speak for anyone else, but I know that if I don't feel the stretch of challenge and accountability for my goals as a photographer, I get a little too comfortable. Comfortable with stagnancy, that is. As my old mentor once told me, "comfort is the a satin lined coffin". And she's right.
For the next 11 weeks I am signed up for a workshop with a long time photographer from the Bay Area and I am excited to not only learn more technically, but to also challenge myself on the areas I've always wanted to become better at as a photographer, such as looking at light in different ways and how I can make sure to capture my clients at their absolute best and oooh, even the opportunity to receive helpful critique and feedback from other long time professionals in the industry.
Challenge and change...bring it on!
Oh, and because every post waaay more fun with a photo...times have certainly changed, that's for sure!
